Anita is a cubist artist having leanings

She likes to paint the outdoors, bringing
her own abstract twist to landscapes. She
is intrigued by old structures, enveloped in
the blue hues and tints of the sky and
oceans exuding calmness, of the lives lived
In them, their ambitions, passions, joys,
and struggles. Through her art she wants
the beholder to visualise this, delving
deep into focus, unfocus, inclusion and
exclusion, so surreal, yet maintaining
the calm. Creatively experimenting with
different mediums, here she has used
acrylic and oils , which have a magical
effect on the beholder. She has exhibited
successfully in best galleries in India and
Dubai, along with solo shows in habitat,
Delhi gymkhana club , Rotary club etc.
She works passionately for the welfare of
blind at NAB, New Delhi, and SOPS, lajpat
bhawan, New Delhi, being the life
member of the same.

She is as an artist who is feminist by heart and socialist by Nature. For her painting is a medium to express herself which takes her beyond the spiritual experiences. Whenever she came across the canvas, ideas from the subconscious floats and, she tries to transform those ideas gently with the help of human and some time non-human forms. Here in her latest works she had experimented with human forms re-arranging them in her own colors and compositions to provide a new sight of social life. They are the reflection of our social life and a mirror to our reality. The work expresses that there is an existence of the supreme power which controls us, at the same time instance we see the man made depiction of the gender biases the society is dealing with.

Manomoy Das had been associated in formal learning of fine arts from Vishwa Bharti
affiliated Art Institute early in his life. He has been engaged with fine arts for the last
40+ years. His work predominantly is in contemporary cubic style on specific themes
and is a Story-teller on canvas. He experiments with different textures and art forms,
like introducing relief work into oil paintings and has developed his unique style of
infusing monochrome shades within vibrant colour palettes. Most of his recent
paintings as based on Indian Folk themes.
He has exhibited his art works at numerous national and international art exhibitions
and has been a recipient of multiple prestigious awards. One of his artworks is being
exhibited at the prestigious Raja Hari Singh Palace Museum in Jammu.

My paintings are figurative in nature. Acrylic on canvas. Starting with spontaneous gestural
brushstrokes, a story develops as I find my subject within those strokes. The focus is on forms, colour
and the overall story.
The forms engage the viewer to interpret the paintings in their own way. Therefore, every painting
presents itself differently to different viewers. Using a limited harmonious colour palette I try to tell
the story of the beauty of life, of people and their interaction with the environment. I like my
paintings to exude a sense of contentment and happiness.
